Ciao, I’m Anna. Since I was a child, I’ve nurtured a deep passion for art — especially drawing and painting. Over the years, this love evolved into creating ceramics, and later into cooking, a passion I inherited from my late father. To me, these two worlds go hand in hand. Thanks to them, I’ve been able to help revive the historic centre of my beloved hometown with my ceramics workshop and our family trattoria. I believe it’s essential to keep our villages full of life, because they hold so much history, memory, and heritage. These origins deserve to be honoured and celebrated. My hope is to continue to instil life into Scalea’s beautiful historic centre through my ceramics workshop, where I still use the pottery wheel once used by the woman who taught this craft to children in the 1980s, and through the aromas and flavours of our region’s traditional cuisine, which I adore. I hope to see you there.
