The castle was originally built as a military fortress between the 12th and 13th centuries, commissioned by Charles, Duke of Calabria, son of Robert, King of Naples. In today’s modern times, the owner, Signora Fiore, opens the castle doors to accommodate couples, groups, and to host exclusive events. A dream first sketched on a sheet of paper became a reality in 1970. It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the hotel created by my father and mother. My name is Mauro, and together with my daughter Gaia and my four brothers, we continue the legacy they began: to bring life to “a grand hotel by the sea.” At the time, it was an ambitious vision. Tourism in the area was almost non-existent, and visitors were rare along this stretch of coast. Yet my parents believed in their dream, creating one of the very first seaside hotels in Diamante. Since then, our family has proudly taken care of it. We grew up in these corridors, learning each day what it truly means to welcome others with heart. For us, this is not just a hotel. It is our home. When you arrive, we hope it will feel like yours too. There is also a small story that speaks of our roots: the great ficus tree standing in front of the hotel. My grandmother planted it, bringing a small cutting from her balcony in Cosenza and wondering, “Will it grow here?” Today it stands tall and majestic — just like the dream it represents. It would bring us immense joy to welcome you for your stay, as you explore the many wonders our Calabria has to offer.

Hello, we are Daniela and Gianmarco, mother and son, and together with our family we welcome you to our B&B, where nature, silence, genuine food, and sea views come together to make you feel truly at home. This place tells a story of courage, sacrifice, and deep love for our land. I, Daniela, graduated in Tourism Marketing with top marks, but life eventually led me to dedicate myself to my family. Yet it is wonderful how life comes full circle: Gianmarco chose to become a chef, and through his dream our own path began again. Then, almost as if guided by destiny, we came across a piece of land overlooking the sea. From that moment, a project began to take shape — one that our guests today often describe as a small paradise. Here, every detail has a soul: from the bed linens of my great-grandmother, woven towards the end of the 1800s, to local products selected with care, seasonal fruit homemade jams, and our artisanal wine. We believe in what we like to call “God-incidences” — those miraculous coincidences that guide our journey and the meaningful encounters along the way that help us continue this dream.
