I chose to transform my family home into a B&B to give it new life and preserve the memories within its walls. Here, I welcome travellers with joy and introduce them to this wonderful little town. Verbicaro is much more than a place — it’s a community where people care for one another and live with sincerity, warmth, and authenticity. My wish is to offer you a genuine and positive experience, making you feel part of our big family and immersing you in the many splendours of our region: from the crystal-clear waters of the Abatemarco River to the authentic flavours of our local products. The castle was originally built as a military fortress between the 12th and 13th centuries, commissioned by Charles, Duke of Calabria, son of Robert, King of Naples. In today’s modern times, the owner, Signora Fiore, opens the castle doors to accommodate couples, groups, and to host exclusive events. The rooms, however, have been reinvented with touches of creativity and memory, offering our guests a warm and personal atmosphere. I was born into a Calabrian family, and after years living in the North, I returned to these roots that have never left me. I love making homemade pasta with ancient grains, rediscovering the authentic flavours and simple gestures my parents taught me.
