Hi, I’m Stefano, and I invite you to discover Calabria…from the sea!
I grew up in the water, and the day my uncle introduced me to the world of scuba diving, I never put my regulator down again. The sea, for me, is home. It’s tradition, emotion, wonder. Every dive is a silent, profound, and unique journey. That’s why I’ve chosen to dedicate my life to sharing the marine culture of my homeland. Today, with more than 20 years of experience and a diving centre in Praia a Mare, my greatest passion is meeting new people and taking them on dives through underwater caves, walls, shipwrecks, and Calabria’s magical underwater forest of two-toned gorgonians. Whether you’re already a diver or exploring the sea for the first time, I’ll guide you through an experience that reveals a completely different side of Calabria…one that only the sea can show you.

Baptism of the Sea

This experience is perfect for anyone who has never tried diving and dreams of discovering the sea from beneath the surface — among the fish, like the fish. With Stefano’s expert guidance, you’ll descend slowly into the deep blue of the stunning Praia a Mare coastline. A baptism that doesn’t just introduce you to the water… it transforms you. Location: Praia a Mare, Calabria (10.8 km from Scalea ~ 13 minutes) Highlights: Introductory briefing and explanation of the diving world. Full equipment fitting. Boat transfer to Dino Island. If you’re a certified diver, this experience will take you into the most fascinating underwater landscapes along Calabria’s Tyrrhenian coast, guided by Stefano’s expertise and passion. You’ll explore breath taking submerged scenery: vibrant gorgonians, the enchanting Blue Cave with its spectacular light effects, and the deep, unforgettable blues of the Calabrian sea. An experience that reveals Calabria from a perspective few ever get to witness.
